Administrator

Knockmore Rathduff Recreation and Resource Centre is currently seeking to recruit for the position of Administrator. The post holder will provide support to the Manager in the running of the service. Key tasks for the post include responsibility for finance and HR administration as well as monitoring and contributing to other services in the Centre.

Job Description

Location:                     Knockmore Rathduff Resource Centre, Knockmore, Ballina, Co. Mayo.
Reporting to:              Centre Manager
Job Title:                     Administrator
Hours:                          34 Hours
Pay:                               €13 per hour

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • General reception, bookkeeping duties and payroll.
  • Bookkeeping: Process invoices, credit card payments, bank reconciliations, petty cash.
  • Processing payroll using Thesaurus, monitor staff leave, absence and timesheets.
  • Assist with monthly/annual reporting and returns
  • Calendar Management and Room bookings
  • Assist in preparation and execution of activities/classes/bingo.
  • Monitoring and ordering supplies e.g. stationary, cleaning items and catering supplies.
  • Liaise with Kitchen staff to create weekly menus for meals on wheels
  • On occasion, assist with catering in the centre for children’s’ birthday parties, meetings and other events as they arise.
  • Adhere to company safety statement/policies and procedures and report any incidents/accidents to Manager.

Person Specification 

Essential Experience Required:

  • Income and Expenditure experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a wider team
  • Organised and focused.
  • Strong communication, relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and friendly attitude

Desirable: (not essential)

  • Qualification in financial administration, book-keeping or HR.
  • Payroll experience (Thesaurus)
