1 – Childcare Supervisor

Job description

Knockmore/Rathduff Butterflies Playschool is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced Early Years Supervisor for a well-established, friendly, community based playschool. The supervisor will ensure high standards of care, education, safety and wellbeing of children, their families and staff. The service caters for 22 children, in a purpose-built facility 5 mornings a week. The successful applicant will work in conjunction with the Centre Manager and Board of Directors.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Level 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent, but Level 7 is desirable.
  • 3 years managerial experience or supervisory role
  • A working knowledge of, and experience in implementing, the Pre-school regulations and TUSLA compliance.
  • Training and experience in Aistear and Siolta.
  • Up to date Occupational First aid, manual handling, fire training and expertise in Children’s first (child protection) guidelines.
  • Experience of the ECCE, CCSP and NCS and their administrative requirements.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Great Communicator, good people skills, strong organisational and planning skills.
  • All applicants are subject to Garda Vetting and two references are required for validation.

Part-time hours: 20 per week

2 – Childcare Worker

Job description

Butterflies playschool, is an established friendly community sessional preschool. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Child Care Worker to join our team under the AIM programme.

The position offers the successful candidate a wonderful opportunity to work in a high quality sessional preschool service where children and their welfare are valued and supported. The successful candidate will have the relevant qualifications and skills to support, guide, observe, stimulate, and supervise children in a safe and caring environment as part of a small childcare team. They must be outgoing, creative and have a genuinely caring nature as well as good interpersonal and communication skills.

The position offers minimum 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, mornings only.
