The Brickx Club is a creative brick building and social activity club for girls and boys aged 5-12 yrs. The Brickx Club has locations throughout Ireland and this Halloween, they are coming to Knockmore.

Class takes place on Friday November 1st at 10.30am – 12pm for children aged 5-12. Cost €12 per child

Mindfulness for Children

Mindfulness for Children

There is an emerging body of research that indicates mindfulness can help children improve their abilities to pay attention, to calm down when they are upset and to make better decisions.

On Thursday 31st of October, Patricia Maguire will give a taster class for children in mindfulness. The class will be facilitated through art, music, stories and meditation. Classes are for 45 mins and cost just €7 for the class. (Concessions are available for multiple children €12 for 2, €17 for 3)

Internet Safety

Internet Safety

Mary Hough from Sligo Education Centre will be giving a talk in Rehins National School on Internet Safety and Cyber Bullying at 7.30pm on Wednesday 23rd of October.

Parents, please add this to your calendars as it is important for the safety and welfare of our children.

This seminar is open to parents of children of all age groups and will inform parents on how children are interacting online and what strategies they should employ to promote internet safety.

Refreshments will be served on the evening.

Yoga Classes

Yoga classes

Yoga classes take place in the centre on Monday evenings at 6pm and Wednesday mornings at 9:30am.

Classes are run by our very experienced Yoga practitioner Jacqueline Burns who has her own Yoga studio in Kiltimagh.

Cost €12 per class.

Common Sense Parenting

Set your child up for success in their adult lives

Classes will be held on Mondays 10am – 12pm

This programme helps parents learn skills to encourage their children’s positive behaviour, discourage negative behaviour, and teach their children alternatives to problem behaviour.
For parents with either Primary or Secondary schools (6 – 16 year olds). Especially good for parents whose children are moving from primary school to secondary as this can be a difficult transition period.
Duration – 6 weeks.
